Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 12 oz bag of Frozen Cut Italian Green Beans
- ¼ cup Simple Truth Organic® Low Sodium Free Range Chicken Broth
- ⅛ tsp Better than Bouillon Roasted Garlic Base
- ½ tsp Better Than Bouillon Premium Seasoned Vegetable Base
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp Oregano
- ½ tsp ground black pepper
- ⅛ tsp sea salt
- lemon juice Optional: just a few splashes
Instructions
- In your large saucepan, on high heat, melt your butter and olive oil, until a bubbling foam is produced.
- Add your green beans and saute for about 5 minutes, stirring periodically.
- Once the frosty look has gone away, add chicken broth, pastes, and seasonings and stir, until combined well. Reduce the heat to simmer, place a lid on the pan, and allow to simmer for 10 - 15 more minutes, depending on how tender you want your green beans.
- Serve and enjoy!

Storage Tips
- Once fully cooled, place the leftovers in an airtight container. Sauteed vegetables will keep fresh for up to a week in the refrigerator. Freezing isn't ideal for these, as they become soggy, so just plan to make them when you're ready to eat them.
Reheating
- In a hurry, you can use the microwave and reheat for about a minute.
