Skillet Fried Corn

An easy and very tasty way to bring frozen corn back to life. Skillet fried corn is a great side dish to complement any dinner!

Equipment

  • 1 medium nonstick pan or skillet

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • ½ tsp Better than Bouillon Roasted Garlic Base
  • 1 16 oz. bag frozen corn
  • 1 cup Kroger Recipe Beginnings 3 Pepper and Onion Blend or equal amount of diced fresh peppers and onions
  • 1 tsp Dash Original seasoning
  • salt and pepper to taste to taste

Instructions

  • Place butter in the skillet and turn the stove on medium-high heat to melt butter. Add onions and peppers, Better than Bouillon, and cook until tender, about 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Reduce heat to low, stir in the corn and cook until tender, just about 15 minutes. Add Mrs. Dash, salt, and pepper to taste. Stir, serve and enjoy!

Storage Tips

  • Refrigerate: Once fully cooled, place the leftovers in an airtight container. The dish will keep fresh for up to 4 days in the refrigerator.
  • Freeze: Although freezing isn't ideal for these, as they may become soggy, you can freeze for up to 3 months. Just be sure to store them in an airtight container.

Reheating

  • In a hurry, you can use the microwave, although it might be a bit soggy.
  • You can also reheat on the stove!
