Equipment
- 1 Crock-pot 6-quart (4-qt or larger works)
Ingredients
- 2 lbs round steak cut into ½" strips any beef cut works really and if you can get it pre-cut, even better!
- 1 - 2 bags Kroger Recipe Beginnings 3 Pepper and Onion Blend
Sauce:
- ½ cup Beef broth
- 3 Tbsp low sodium soy sauce
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ¼ tsp ground ginger
- ¼ tsp Dash Original seasoning
- ½ tsp ground black pepper
- 2 tsp brown sugar (light or dark) honey or white sugar works fine too
- 2 Tbsp unbleached all-purpose flour
- ¼ tsp Dash Extra Spicy seasoning
- 1 cup uncooked rice (adding at the tail-end of the recipe) OR cooked rice to serve steak mixture on top of
Instructions
- In a medium to large bowl add the beef broth, soy sauce, Worchestershire sauce, ginger, Mrs. Dash Original, pepper, brown sugar, and flour. Whisk until smooth. (Add the Mrs. Dash Extra Spicy seasoning if you desire). Pour this mixture into the slow cooker.
- Add the beef, bell peppers, and onions to the sauce in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 4 ½ - 5 hours.
- NOTE: If adding uncooked rice, at the 4 ½ hour mark, add the rice to the crockpot and stir. Cover and cook an additional 30 minutes allowing the rice to cook and swell.
