Instructions
Ground Turkey Taco Meat
Mise en place = Gather all of your ingredients, tools, and equipment before you begin cooking. Make life easier!
Combine all of your herbs and spices in a small bowl. Set aside.
On medium-high heat, add your ground turkey to a large nonstick pan. Break up any clumps as you cook it, until it's no longer pink; it takes about 5 minutes. During this time, you can add your herbs and spices if you like that flavor cooked into the meat, like us!
Once no longer pink, add your taco seasoning packet without water and stir. Place the lid on and reduce the heat to a simmer for 10 minutes. NOTE: We know what the packet says, and if you want soggy tacos, you can add the 'suggested' water. But if you like crumbled, flavored taco meat, no water is needed.
Taco Assembly
Warm your soft tortillas and/or taco shells for 10-second increments, as needed. Sometimes, we don't heat, but if we do, it's usually for 10 seconds, and then you're good to build!
We like to add cheese as our base layer, allowing the meat to melt the cheese, which creates a barrier to block the meat from falling out. At this time, you can also add a smear of sour cream or wait until the end and add a dollop.
Now, it's time to add the taco meat; as much as you want!
From here, you can add the other options from your taco bar, as you please. Serve hot and enjoy plenty!

Notes
Feel free to add toppings we didn't list, like fresh cilantro, avocado, or any of your other favorites!
Storage Tips
Once fully cooled, you have two options. You can either:
Separate Ingredients: Store all of your ingredients separately in storage bowls, allowing everyone to assemble their own tacos to keep them fresh.
Refrigerate: In an airtight container, taco meat can be stored for 3 - 4 days. If you're nearing 4 days, feel free to freeze the rest to avoid food waste.
Freeze: You can freeze the taco meat for 2 - 3 months in the same airtight container. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight, before reheating either in the microwave or on the stovetop.
Taco Shells or Tortillas: Store in original packaging or in resealable freezer bags, removing as much air as possible.
