Ingredients

Bartlett pears
(peel, core, chop)

lemon juice

orange juice

Madagascar vanilla bean extract

brown sugar (light or dark)

caramel sauce

star anise pod

ground Pumpkin pie spice

Instructions
After peeling the skin, removing the core, and chopping the pears into chunks, place your chopped pears into the crockpot.
Add your lemon juice, orange juice, vanilla extract, brown sugar, and caramel sauce.
Drop a star anise into the crockpot along with your spices. Stir, place the lid on, and cook on
LOW
for 4 - 6 hrs, OR
HIGH
for 3 hours.
Stir and remove the star anise, as the mixture thickens then you can turn the heat off and transfer to a blender.
Puree any remaining chunks to ensure a smooth finish for your fruit butter spread, No matter how you choose to use it, just make sure you enjoy it!
